Selection for training on Research Methods and Project Management

We are finally done with the selection procedure for "Two days training on Research Methods and Project Management" organized by Jiwanta Nepal. The program is scheduled on June 3 and June 4, 2016. The program will be held at Udhyami Ghar, New Baneshwor.

A mail has been send to the selected participants. To confirm the seat, one should visit Jiwanta Nepal's office with training charge Nrs. 1,000 by 5:00 pm, May 25, 2016. Program schedule and details will be mailed after the confirmation.

Jiwanta Nepal's office is located in Old Baneshwor behind Apex College. Please let us know if you couldn't attend the training so that other individual in the waiting list could get a chance.

PROJECT SAFA TOLE: Possibility and Challenges of implementing it in Khokana, Lalitpur

Jiwanta Nepal organized a discussion program on possibility and challenges of implementing SAFA TOLE, a solid waste management project designed by Jiwanta Nepal.

The program was organised at 08:00 am Saturday morning on April 30, 2016 in Khokhana, Lalitpur.

Twenty eight local community members engaged in different social organizations, government bodies and development activities joined the program. SAFA TOLE program is mainly based on environmental protection making clean and green communities, women empowerment via their involvement in income generating activities and ultimately making a model community within a year.

Local women group have decided to take the lead along with the support of dozens of other organisations. The program will be initially piloted in 50-100 households.

The next meeting will be held in Khokhana within a week to bring together different other organizations working in solid waste management sector on a common path for large outcome.

Two days training on Research Methods and Project Management

Jiwanta Nepal is going to organise two days training on Research Methods and Project Management in Kathmandu, Nepal. The training will cover mainly three topics:

Research Types (Choosing best research method)
Data Collection Methods (Interpretation and Analysis)
Project Development (Planning, Execution and Closing)

Cost: Nrs. 1,000 only (10% discount for Jiwanta Nepal Volunteers)
Date: June 3 and June 4

*Training cost covers light refreshments, diary, pen and completion certificate

Jiwanta Nepal successfully completed the volunteer session

Jiwanta Nepal successfully conducted a volunteer’s session at National College, Baluwatar on April 16, 2016. There were 35 volunteers from various parts of the nation including Chitwan and Bhairahawa.

The training started at 11:00 am with ice breaking game as a part of introduction session. It was followed by presentation on sustainable development goals, waste management practices, rooftop gardening, Jiwanta Nepal's projects and procedure of involving in Jiwanta Nepal.

Five different teams have been made to run five different projects of Jiwanta Nepal. The volunteers will be trained before being involved in ground level activities. We are expecting the initial outcomes within three months. Further meetings, discussions, trainings will be held at Jiwanta Nepal's office in New Baneshwor, Kathmandu.

Thank you everyone once again for your warm participation. You people were wonderful and enthusiastic.

Get ready for training sssion; Selection has been done


The selection procedure for Jiwanta Nepal's volunteer training session has been over. A mail has been send to the selected participants for volunteer training session. Please confirm your seat by clicking the link attached in the mail.

We couldn't invite every applicants those who filled up forms as we had limited seats. We had so far recived 95 applicants for 30 seats. Jiwanta Nepal's Volunteer Training

 
Jiwanta Nepal is looking for 30 compassionate and dedicated volunteers for an introductory training session to give insight of current environment impacts and its sustainable solutions.

The overall objective is to select, train and collaborate to reduce the environmental degradation by effective community mobilization, establishing innovative models in the society. The selected volunteers will even get a chance to work closely with upcoming Jiwanta Nepal’s project under following objectives:

Objectives

To research and develop options for sustainable environmental solutions mitigating climate change impacts.
To collaborate with key stakeholders and facilitate for essential resources.
To promote various innovative youth based social entrepreneurship at National level.
To educate people and community for greenery development in collaboration with different institutions.
To mobilize the community for the conservation of natural resources and reduce the risks of natural calamities.
To strengthen the community on waste management and promote sustainable agricultural practices.

The training session will be held at National College, Baluwatar, Kathmandu on April 16, 2016. Light refreshment will be provided.

Orientation: Social entrepreneurship project in Kavre

Jiwanta Nepal conducted two orientation programs with local community members of RaviOpi VDC of Banepa to discuss the possibilities of waste economics. The orientation is a part of our ongoing project social entrepreneurship scheduled to get completed within this fiscal year.

Most of the locals came out with the possibilities of making plastic, paper items and compost from the wastes. We are collecting suggestions and aside doing preliminary studies to find the best possible program to run in the community. We believe that the program must be sustainable and in turn community people should also get economic benefits side by side. More discussion will be carried in the respective communities.

Blankets distribution for Earthquake victim PNC mothers in Bhaktapur

Jiwanta Nepal in collaboration with Incentive Group of Companies (IGC) and Fresh Blood Donors of Nepal distributed 100 blankets for infants in 14 different earthquake IDP camps of Bhaktapur district this Saturday.

The program started from 11:00 a.m. near Punyabhumi Camp of Chyamasingh. The blankets were generously provided by IGC. 

The name list was finalized by visiting 14 different camps of Bhaktapur on Thursday. The name and numbers were verified by camps coordinators as well.

Blankets distribution in earthquake IDP camps of Bhaktapur

Jiwanta Nepal in collaboration with Incentive Group of Companies (IGC) and Fresh Blood Donors of Nepal is going to distribute blankets for infants in dozen of earthquake IDP camps of Bhaktapur district this Saturday.

We are going to deliver atleast 100 blankets and clothes as well to help earthquake affected families of Bhaktapur this winter. The program will start from 11:00 a.m. from Punyabhumi Camp of Chyamasingh.

The blankets are generously provided by IGC.
